Hilmer Jagersma
Pastor of Preaching & Teaching
Hilmer has been married to Meagan for 17 years and they have three children: Rowan, Kiara, and Whitney. Originally hailing from Chiliwack, BC, Hilmer spent almost 10 years working as a sales representative. It was during this time that Hilmer began to feel God's call to pursue pastoral ministry. In 2012, Hilmer and Meagan made the decision to move to Hamilton, ON, where Hilmer obtained a Masters of Divinity and began ministry as a pastor in the Hamilton area. In April of 2021, Hilmer accepted the position as the pastor of Fellowship Church in Burlington. As a family they really enjoy life in Ontario - except for the winters! In his spare time, Hilmer enjoys reading, playing hockey, spending time with friends, and watching the Blue Jays!
When it comes to ministry, Hilmer loves preaching and teaching the truth of God's Word and seeing individuals transformed by the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. His desire is quite simple - to see the church committed to prayer as it strives to disciple, encourage and build up followers of Christ for the glory of God and the good of our city.
Mark Stewart
Pastor of Discipleship & Evangelism
Mark has been married to Christy for over 28 years, and they have four daughters together, as well as three grandchildren (Finn, Willow, and Autumn). Mark and Christy were both raised in the greater Toronto area but have been ministering in the USA for the better part of the past 23 years. In 2021 they moved back to the area and have been serving with Fellowship Church, more formally joining the pastoral team in January of 2023. For recreation, Mark enjoys tennis, cycling, pickleball, and hiking with Christy. The family loves playing board games together, and you might ask him what music and/or podcasts he is currently listening to!
Mark is excited to serve at Fellowship alongside Hilmer in a focused role. He is active in reaching out to our community, activating our prayer and outreach teams, and discipling people in the faith. He is also involved on our leadership team, providing advice and guidance, as well as training new leaders for the future. Mark also heads up our Small Group team and is active in leading worship.
