We believe the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21)

We believe in the Holy Trinity. There is one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:26, Matthew 3:16-17, 28:18-20, John 1:1-5, 2 Corinthians 13:14)

We believe that God created humanity - male and female - in His own image and likeness. (Genesis 1:26-27)

We believe that all are sinners and totally unable to save themselves from God’s displeasure, except by his mercy. (Romans 5:12, Ephesians 2:1-10)

We believe that salvation is by God alone as he sovereignly chooses those he will save. We believe his choice is based solely on his grace, not on any human individual merit or on his foreknowledge of our faith. (Ephesians 1:3-6, Romans 8:29)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who through his perfect life and sacrificial death atoned for the sins of all who will trust in him alone for salvation. (Colossians 1:17, 2:9, 1 Peter 2:22-24, Hebrews 1:3)

We believe that God is gracious and faithful to his people, not simply as individuals, but as families in successive generations, according to his covenant promises. (Genesis 17:7, Acts 2:39)

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells God’s people and gives them the strength and wisdom to trust Christ and follow him. (John 14:16-17, 14:26, 15:26-27, 16:7-11, Romans 8:1-14)

We believe that Jesus will return, bodily and visibly, to judge all mankind and to take his people to their eternal home. (John 14:1-3, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

We believe that all aspects of our lives are to be lived to the glory of God under the lordship of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:18-20, Ephesians 1:22-23, Colossians 3:23-24)

Fellowship is a member of a group of churches called the Canadian Reformed churches.  We believe with all Christian churches the fundamentals of the Christian faith represented by the ancient ecumenical creeds – namely, the Apostles, Nicene, and Athanasian creeds. As a Protestant and evangelical church, Fellowship also holds to certain Reformed doctrinal standards – namely, the Heidelberg Catechism, Canons of Dort, and Belgic Confession.  These summarize, to the best of our abilities, what we and many other churches believe the Scriptures teach on the most important matters of our faith.
